FUSU
FUSU is the Forum for University Students Unions. It is a channel through which the various Universities can communicate with one another on issues that affect their students, such as Fees or the campaigns your unions run. FUSU came into being in response to the growing need for Students’ Unions to share information and discuss current issues relevant to them as unions and to you as a student. How does this affect you? Well what results for students is that your student union representatives are able to asses how we are working for you, making us able to see how we can be more productive. It also lets us discuss what facilities are on offer for other students in other universities. This means that we can push to improve the facilities that we offer you, constantly encouraging us to work to make your experience as a student better. The opportunity to work with other student unions on a national level with such things as campaigns and marches allows for Maynooth Students’ Union to be kept on the front line when changes are being made and ensure that your voices are heard. The current members of FUSU are University College Cork, Dublin City University, Trinity University, University College Dublin, NUI Maynooth, University of Limerick, and NUI Galway.
