Filmsoc Developing Nicely

Film soc, as I’m sure you’re all aware at this stage, is back with a bang. We’re holding weekly screenings in an epic “Vs” style battle every Monday evening at 7:30 in The Speakeasy. The one you’ll have missed, as it took place on Monday, was Hot Fuzz vs Shaun of the Dead. In the coming weeks, after the mid-term, we’ll be holding similar battles of your classic and contemporary favourites. So call in on Monday evenings for films (€1 for members, €3 for non members) and free punch and pie for all!
Coupled with this we’ll soon be launching our first ever Mobile Phone Film Festival, so start recording your friends drunken antics or reinact your favourite movie scene, or anything you want for that matter. These short films could win you a prize by the end of the semester.
Coming soon after the break, we have in the pipeline a 24 hour film festival where you have to write, film and edit a short film within 24 hours to immediately be screened at a gala later that evening. Again we have prizes to be won including six months of unlimited cinema viewings!
